The Hotot (pronounced "Hoh-Toh") breeds are very distinctive - white rabbits with dark "mascara" around their eyes.
Blanc de Hotot (often just called "Hotot") rabbits are the larger breed, with an ideal adult weight of 8-11 pounds. Dwarf Hotot rabbits are much smaller, with a maximum adult weight of only three pounds.

| The Blanc de Hotot rabbit is a rare breed, listed by the American Livestock Conservancy as "Threatened". According to the Rabbitgeek.com list, based on ARBA registrations, they are the rarest rabbit breed - no. 1 on their rare breeds list. |
